2016 NSW Women in Mining Award Winners - Profiles

August 16, 2016

The Minister for Resources, Anthony Roberts hosted a roundtable lunch for our 2016 NSW Women In Mining Award Winners and Stefanie Loader, our chairwoman in June.

Mining has long been considered as a male dominated industry. However, the NSW Women in Mining Awards seek to recognise and celebrate the pioneers who push for a stronger and more diverse mining industry.

In NSW, we have over 2,600 women directly employed in various mining operations. It is now more important than ever to acknowledge the women and businesses whose hard work and achievements have helped create a strong and sustainable NSW mining economy.

On 1st September, our Award Winners will be competing in the 2016 Women in Resources National Awards (WIRNA) hosted by our friends at the South Australian Chamber of Mines & Energy. Come and support our WIRNA finalists by attending this event. Registration is essential by Friday 26th August.
