Miners and Knights fans - show us your colours on Instagram and you could win!

February 25, 2015

As Voice for Mining Family Day approaches, we want NSW miners, their families and Newcastle Knights fans to show their support for two great Hunter teams - the Knights and our mining community - in a special new Instagram competition.
A superb prize pack including tickets to see the Knights vs Sharks in April plus dinner and accommodation for two is up for grabs.
To enter:
  1. Take a photo in hi-vis or Knights colours - or both! Think of ways to make yours stand out as we’ll be sharing the best on Facebook and asking our fans to vote!
  2. Follow @miningnsw on Instagram and share your photos with #VoiceForMining.
  3. The winner will be announced on Friday 27 March, the day before Voice for Mining Family Day 2015.
Note: the competition has been extended to include Voice for Mining Family Day so make sure to take your photos at the game and post them for your chance to win.
Voice for Mining Family Day 2015 is being held on the same day as the NSW state election on Saturday March 28. It’s a reminder to voters and the state’s decision makers that our miners and their families make an important contribution to the state and our economy.
And with such an important election ahead, mining supporters are being encouraged to tell candidates running for every seat in the NSW Parliament that mining has strong support in the community. And it’s easy. Just go to voiceformining.com.au and punch in your postcode to find your local candidates. Send them a strong message about your support for mining, the need for planning reform and a commitment to mining jobs in NSW.
We’ve also been sharing the hard facts with thousands of people on our Facebook page, publishing two infographics that show the huge economic contribution that coal mining makes to east coast economies in conjunction with the Queensland Resources Council.

Do you support mining jobs and a strong mining sector? Then share these infographics and get behind our latest Voice for Mining campaign to ensure your voice is heard loud and clear by the state’s decision-makers. There are anti-mining campaigns under way now and that’s why it’s never been so important to make a stand.
