Jenny Sharp - Newcrest Mining
 
Jenny is a dedicated leader with 18 years’ experience in management roles. She has been committed to improving participation rates and access to mining opportunities for women and young girls. 
 
Jenny has been spearheading the change in workplace culture at Newcrest’s Cadia Gold Mine in Orange and has driven a number of gender diversity programs including mentoring for female workers, upgrading female health facilities and providing additional contact support for women on site.
 
In her role as Principal of Human Resources Talent Strategies, Jenny has targeted improved opportunities for female career progression at Cadia, with 33 percent of all promotions on site going to women in 2018. This is an impressive increase from only 10 percent in the previous year.
 
Jenny’s vision is to increase the number of women in leadership roles to 20 percent by 2020.
